About the Guest:

175-DonMcCreaDon McCrea is currently president of Your Business Legacy, a consultancy focused on coaching family business owners to a successful exit from their business when they retire. Prior to that, he gained over 20 years of experience in executive and adult education as faculty, administrator, and executive student.

Don was formerly president of Bus-Ed Partners, Inc., a private consulting firm that brought together higher education institutions and business to the mutual benefit of both. He served as consultant in this regard with UC Berkeley’s College of Engineering as Director, Strategic Alliances and UCLA’s Anderson School of Management as Director of Custom Solutions for Executive Education Programs for five years, as well as leading its corporate governance education programs and its CIO Summit programs.

Prior to his work with UC Berkeley and UCLA, he was Director of Executive Education for the Merage School of Management at University of California, Irvine for five years and Director of the Executive Degree Program at the Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management at Claremont Graduate University.  He taught B2B and International Marketing for five years in Pepperdine University’s Executive, Professional, and full-time MBA programs.

Don has nearly 30 years of experience with Fortune 100 computer companies (NCR Corporation, Unisys, Digital Equipment Corporation) and the Department of Defense as a systems designer, senior systems development manager, product manager, and senior marketing and sales manager. I have sold and marketed to global clients in industrial, consumer, and government markets and am a consultant to business on marketing and sales issues.

Prior to relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area, he served on the Orange County Workforce Investment Board, holding the positions of vice-chair and former chair of its Labor Market Intelligence (strategic planning) Committee; and on the Advisory Boards of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Orange County Small Business Development Center and its Lead Center, hosted by CSU Fullerton. He is a former board member of UNICON, the International University Consortium for Executive Education.

Don holds a Ph.D. in Executive Management from the Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management at Claremont Graduate University and an M.S. in Mathematics from the University of Michigan. He is a member of the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics and the Association for Transpersonal Psychology.
