Recently, I interviewed C. Scott Carver, Director of Construction and experienced General Contractor, who knows how to drive profitable construction projects and mentor high performing teams.

C Scott CarverC. Scott Carver was given a high-end tenant improvement project that had fallen behind due to inexperienced supervision at the project helm. “If we did not finish the project on time, there would be a sizable assessment of liquidated damages,” Carver said.

“I quickly assessed issues, removed on site supervisor and set up an action plan to bring the job back on budget and proper timeline. I met with project stakeholders to gain buy-in and make necessary timeline adjustments.”

Carver went on to say, “…the team joined forces, responded to the team approach I took, and all pulled together. This resulted in a 15% increase in productivity, and we averted what could have been a $25,000 liquidated damages lawsuit and prevented any damage or impairment to the company’s reputation.”
