“I was approached by the City of Yorba Linda to act as a representative to the newly formed Blue Ribbon Committee, comprised of local business owners, community stakeholders and residents,” said Chief Operations Officer and commercial real estate expert, Jim Resha. The committee’s objective was to represent the citizens’ desires, creating design guidelines to use as a marketing piece for prospective retail developers seeking to purchase and develop the property. “After the Blue Ribbon Committee report was finalized, I was hired and retained by the City Redevelopment Agency as a consultant to work in partnership with the Director of Economic Development in creating the necessary marketing materials and initiating the vetting process with interested property developers.”

The property was ultimately sold and developed into a thriving Town Center that includes many of the design recommendations proposed by the Blue Ribbon Committee. Today, the City of Yorba Linda’s Town Center includes over 125,000 square feet of upscale entertainment, restaurant, and services uses, as well as an open space commons area.
