The situation was further complicated by unreliable drivers and employees who changed their departure times on a daily basis due to perceived work requirements or personal preferences.<\/p>\n

\u201cI saw that the main issue was improving delivery and reducing the cost of transportation services, and that this was a multi-faceted effort,” says Global Corporate Executive, Jeff Hosken. “I hired regional managers to coordinate with BPO center leadership and external service providers. I directed the transportation team to research and install new software to optimize taxi utilization. I also guided my regional managers to collaborate with operational leaders to agree on and enforce standards for how and when employees would request transportation,\u201d Hosken said.<\/p>\n

By effectively managing employee transportation across 17 cities, Hosken safely delivered more than 9,500 employees to and from work each day with zero operational, legal, regulatory, or reputational impacts to the company. Changes he instituted reduced transportation costs by 30% due to increased taxi utilization rates and decreased employee travel time by 10% due to more timely departures and more efficient routing.<\/p>\n
