Our second guest is <\/span>Billie Flynn<\/span><\/a>, a real \u2018Top Gun\u2019 pilot who flew Lockheed Martin<\/em>‘s F-35 Lightning II<\/a> for its first demonstration at the world renown Paris Air Show. Billie joins Tim to further describe their collaboration on solving identified technical issues with the F-35<\/span><\/p>\n Tim Nelson, Expert Problem-Solving Coach<\/p><\/div>\n For reference, Lockheed Martin<\/em> is the largest defense contractor in the world, and their F-35 program is considered by many to be the most technically complicated project in the world. In light of Tim\u2019s innovative approach to problem solving, he was assigned to fix a complex technical problem within the F35, the largest program in military history. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n A former VP of Quality at Lockheed Martin<\/em> noted that Tim and Billie closed 65 projects, contributing to $1B in savings and certifying 84 engineers. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>What makes this collaboration even more exceptional is that Tim is dyslexic<\/a>. Often, a dyslexic\u2019s greatest strength is creating ingenious compensation strategies to solve complex problems. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t know how I do it. The cocoon is the death to a caterpillar and the life of the butterfly; I don\u2019t understand that process either. I do understand I start with a problem and turn it into a gift,\u201d Tim says.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Inventor in his own right of Creative Logic<\/em>\u2122 (an innovative synergy-based process which\u00a0 pairs creative and logical individuals for productively positive results), Tim Nelson emphasizes this sentiment: \u201cMany people associate dyslexia with a stigma, a brand or tattoo. A person is not a brand or tattoo; no more than is [someone’s] color, gender, or sexual preference. <\/span><\/p>\n Parents want their child to conform and be like everyone else\u2019s child.
