Carl Rogan started his career working in the automotive industry where he was able to use his knowledge of improving manufacturing processes through process analysis, product and process design and simulation modeling to drive throughput, eliminate waste, reduce cycle time, and minimize capital investment. The Senior Supply Chain and Manufacturing Leader was recognized for his accomplishments and was selected to participate in advanced learning programs such as six sigma, lean manufacturing, value engineering and design for manufacturing and assembly, and then used this knowledge to improve procedures and guidelines, mitigate delivery risk and solve numerous customer crises related issues as well as train hundreds of employees across the organization in continuous improvement resulting in significant financial benefits.
Carl advanced his career by transitioning into the Aerospace Industry where he began as an advance manufacturing engineer and quickly adapted to a much different environment that involved a significantly higher level of understanding of product flight operating requirements, advanced processing techniques, significantly longer new product development cycle times and rigorous product quality validation. Carl quickly also learned new materials requirements planning systems and made it a priority to engage with the supply base to understand product design issues and delivery constraints from an external perspective. Carl, again, was recognized for his ability to contribute his knowledge and for his passion to drive product and process excellence ultimately resulting in customer satisfaction and new business growth opportunities. Carl advanced in his responsibilities and served as a major program and project management work package lead, then to a product line manager, an organizational team resource manager and then director of strategic initiatives across the entire Aerospace mechanical product lines. Carl routinely presented to the executive leadership team and was able to leverage their support through business case proposals, project advancement needs and time to market benefits.
Carl was then asked to lead the most complex and technically challenging business unit within the Honeywell Aerospace business in leading the new product procurement organization. He has taken on this responsibility and has gained a deep understanding of the procurement process and also the need to select suppliers early in development programs and collaborate with them to reach long-term contractual commitments as well as work with them in a day-to-day tactical environment ensuring early prototypes, pre-production and production grade hardware is delivered to the cross-functional organization to ensure on time test milestones are met to ensure credibility in delivering technologically advanced products to key customers such as the United States Military. Carl is currently serving in this capacity and has been significantly involved in the legendary US Army Chinook Helicopter engine upgrade program and worked through significant resource constraints to drive development hardware necessary to complete a first engine test build validating the ability of the upgraded engines to meet the desired performance requirements that will result in higher payloads, improved maintainability, easier integration and maintenance as well as a significant engine horsepower increase. This engine improvement will directly benefit the US Army warfighters in their objectives in combat and non-combat missions.
He is also currently supporting a major pursuit and largest future revenue generation program in company history, based on the Chinook engine upgrade to power the Defiant-X next generation Helicopter, and has significantly grown his organization to acquire talent to support hardware deliveries, drive cost reductions, ensure producibility and negotiate long term contracts. Carl believes he is ready to transition again, this time into an executive ready role where he can leverage his experience and new product launch knowledge to drive strategic corporate initiatives and focus on long term product roadmaps and offerings.
Carl has a long-standing track record of enduring through difficult work environments, overcoming obstacles through technical acumen, interpersonal skills and best value decision making has allowed him to advance in his career. His passion for winning and his dedication to achieving results have inspired, taught, and have led numerous teams and individuals to reach higher levels of ambition and personal accomplishment.
